Today, the fourth, fifth and sixth class pupils proudly hosted the junior and middle room for a wonderful Toy Exhibition. Over the past number of weeks, the senior pupils have been busy designing and creating their own toys, putting their science knowledge and creativity to use. Their inventions included push and pull puppets, magnetic cranes with pulley systems, squishy stress-relief toys, hopping octopuses and homemade playdough.
A Key focus of the project was sustainability. As we approach the Christmas season, the children were encouraged to think about how toys can be made from recycled materials rather than always buying the latest trends.
All the children loved the afternoon exploring the toys and trying each of the activities. Well done to the senior room for running such a successful event.
