Fourth, Fifth and Sixth class had a fantastic time celebrating Maths Week with a variety of fun and engaging activities. One of the highlights was taking part in a live, online quiz with other schools across Ireland. There was even a special guest who joined the quiz to wish us all luck-GAA star David Clifford. Back in the classroom, things got a bit sweeter and we used a box of Hero's chocolates to practise our estimating, multiplying and dividing skills. We also got creative making car ramps, measuring the distance the cars travelled and investigating how different angles affect speed and distance. To top it all off we explored maths in our environment with a Shape, Line and Angle Maths Trail around the school grounds. What a great week of learning!
