What an exciting Maths Week we’ve had in Junior, Senior and First Class!
We started by heading outside with our tablets for a 2-D shape hunt. The children turned into shape detectives, spotting circles, squares, rectangles, semi-circles and triangles all around the school! We snapped lots of photos and had great fun finding shapes in the most surprising places.
Next, we made our very own “Metre Person”! Using our new friend, we measured things around the classroom to see if they were longer or shorter than a metre. It was such a fun way to learn all about length and measurement!
To top it all off, we played Maths Bingo! Everyone joined in as we called out numbers from 1 to 20 — there were lots of smiles, cheers and even a few shouts of “Bingo!”
We had an amazing week full of maths, laughter and learning. Well done to all our super shape hunters, measuring experts and number champions!
